TOM H.

Branch Manager

My name is Tom and I’m the Branch Manager for Wild Things Pet Services as well as the Operations Manager for our parent company, Prairie Path Pet Care. I’ve been in the pet care industry for 10 years and counting and never see myself wanting to leave!

Before getting into pet care I was a longtime veteran of the service industry. Working in all levels from fast casual to high end fine dining and in all positions from server to host, general manager to wine and beverage director. After 15 years I knew I needed a new career path and left the restaurant industry behind to start Prairie Path Pet Care in May of 2013. I fell in love with the business from day one and cannot see myself ever doing anything else. There’s nothing like the joy of working with animals day in and day out. No matter how the rest of your day is going, the time spent with the pups will never fail to make it brighter!

Over the course of 10 years with the company my responsibilities have grown but my passion is and always will be working directly with clients and their furry family members.  When I had the opportunity to take over the management position here with Wild Things Pet Services in August of 2021 I jumped at the opportunity. I’ve loved working with this team and the our incredible Fox Valley clients. I loved the area so much I moved out to South Elgin a year later and look forward to being a part of this community for years to come.

I currently have one dog, a wild corgi mix named Brody. Brody is a happy go lucky, playful and mischievous pup that always keeps us on our toes! We’re looking to adopt a friend for Brody at some point in the near future, likely another corgi mix because the only thing better than 1 corgi… is 2 of them!

Alison L.

Assistant Manager

Hi! I'm Alison, but everyone calls me Ali. I grew up in Geneva and don't plan on leaving any time soon! Ever since I was little, I knew for a fact I would work with animals. Now I'm assistant manager of what I believe to be the best dog walking and pet sitting business in the area!

Over the past nine years I have helped many families create an amazing bond with their pups. I have gained experience from plenty of different positions including dog walking, pet sitting, caring for animals at vet clinics/ animal shelters, becoming a professional dog trainer, to managing my own pet services business.

I graduated from Waubonsee Community College with an Associate's degree. My current memberships include Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), International Association of Animal Behavioral Consultants (IAABC), American Kennel Club (AKC), and National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS).

I lost my beloved pup Roxii in 2021, and since then I have been on the search for a new four-legged companion. In February 2023, I brought home Lollipop, she is a Moyen Poodle. We are a perfect match, she makes my world so much brighter!

WANT TO MEET OUR WALKERS?

We get it! We want to meet them before they start working for us too. That is why each walker goes through an extensive interview process, background check and on-the-job training before taking on a dedicated route.

Before service begins you'll be able to meet a manager and your dedicated walker at your free Meet & Greet. Even more, our scheduling software provides profiles on each of our team members so you can get to know everyone on our walking team!
