Laurie T

Dog Walker

Animals have been a part of my life since the day I was born. We always had dogs and cats growing up. My daughter once described me as the “animal Whisperer” because many of their friends had pets that were not particularly fond of people but they always came right up to me! I have also spent a lot of time watching dogs, cats, cows, and horses for my friends. They would take off on vacations and I would stay at their home and care for their pets.

I have a teaching degree and taught middle school math for several years but have recently decided to do the things that I enjoy the most! Spending time with animals always puts a smile on my face ….and sometimes their’s! I currently have a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix named Chloe. She is 6 and 1/2 years old and is my little buddy. She has traveled all over the country with me and is always by my side or on my lap! I also have a quilting business that keeps me busy, four grown daughters and four, soon-to-be five, grandchildren that make my life complete.

Pet Sitter

I took a Vet Tech Course at the College of DuPage 5 years ago. I worked for Bartlett Animal Hospital for 5 months as a vet assistant and receptionist. I then worked at Animal House Vet Clinic for 3-1/2 years as a receptionist. I have been working at Wild Things because I love walking and dogs, so I get to put two of my favorite things together! I have had a succession of dogs and cats in my life since I was a toddler, but currently have 2 cats at home.

Liz S

Area Manager

I have spent my entire life loving, and living with animals! I have never lived in a home with less than two pets at any given time, but no more than 5. Currently we have two feral kitten rescues, Chainsaw and Razey.
Before moving out to the tri-cities area, I worked at an animal hospital on the northwest side of Chicago. While there I learned a lot about how to care for special needs pets, as well as be a better pet parents to my own fur babies. After working at the animal hospital, I became a futures trading broker, and it was very exciting job!
While working as a broker, my husband and I welcomed twins into our family and decided at that time, me working as a broker no longer fit into our lives. Once our twins were six months old I decided to pursue my lifelong passion of animal care, which led me to Wild Things.
I look forward to meeting your pets, and caring for them on the weekends when you can’t be home with them. Thank you for trusting me with your furry, and feathered, family members, I promise to give them tons of love and attention!
